WATCHED: “Point Break” (D: Kathryn Bigelow, 1991)

Was made fun of by Antonia for having not seen this. It is kind of surprising; but no more! Watched it last night with Sara & Fin.

Okay, it’s a cliché, but Keanu is fairly charmless and can’t act. If he wasn’t nominally good-looking, would he be an actor?

Antonia told me to look for the “woman’s touch” that Kathryn Bigelow brought to this movie, but I failed to recognise it. I’m expecting “The Hurt Locker” to be much more satisfying. Valuable as a pop culture artifact, satisfying action, trashy fun, but not great. That’s my assessment.
